I love a sparkling clean kitchen, and find it a joy to cook in. But just as important to me are the products I’m cleaning my kitchen with. I moved away from chemicals many years ago as a way of supporting my own health, so whatever I use in my kitchen must be eco-friendly and safe for myself and my favourite 3 felines.

Annabel P. writes: The Thieves Kitchen & Bath Scrub is one amazing product! I use it every day, for everything! Any stain I can’t get off with just the Thieves Household Cleaner, I give this a go and it always works.

Here are a few photos of what I’ve used it on: my saucepan after it was used on the campfire, and my laundry sink. I also use it on the kitchen sink, bathroom sink, stove and oven – it works on them all! It’s even amazing on stubborn stains on white benchtops, like curry, blueberries, ice blocks, and anything red!

Thieves Fruit & Veggie Soak

I used to think I didn’t need Thieves Fruit & Veggie Soak – until I saw the incredible results others were getting. When I finally tried it, I was shocked at how much dirt and residue it removed, even from organic produce! Now, it’s a non-negotiable in my kitchen. My fruit and veggies stay fresher for longer, and I have peace of mind knowing I’m eating truly clean food.

It’s super easy to use – just 1 teaspoon in 2.5 litres of water, a quick 2-minute soak and a rinse, and you’re good to go! And if you haven’t done the broccoli test yet, you have to try it – it’s a real eye-opener. You’ll see just how much residue this product lifts off your food compared to plain water or vinegar soaks. Thieves Dish Soap

Another product I swear by in my kitchen is the Thieves Dish Soap. 

This non-foaming, triple-concentrated formula means 1 bottle is equivalent to 3 regular bottles of dishwashing liquid – giving you 355 washes per bottle (that’s about 3 months’ worth if you’re washing 4 times a day!). A little goes such a long way, which makes it great value for money.

While it doesn’t froth like regular dish soap, don’t let that fool you, as it’s still doing its job – just without the suds. But if you’re someone who loves a good lather, I’ve got a simple hack to turn it into a foamy dream.

Here’s how to get your Thieves Dish Soap to lather beautifully:

1. Pour two-thirds of your Thieves Dish Soap concentrate into a container for future use, leaving the remaining third in the bottle.
2. Add a teaspoon of baking soda (Bicarb of Soda) and stir with a chopstick.
3. Fill the bottle with warm (not boiling) water, then gently tip it upside down a few times until it’s all mixed together.
4. Use it as you would regular dish soap, or pour it into your dish wand for extra foam!

If you’re looking to stretch your product even further, here’s another great hack: Split your concentrate between two bottles and add 1 cap (10ml) of Thieves Household Cleaner into each. Fill the rest with water, and voilà – you’ve got two bottles of bubbly, effective dish soap for the price of one. It still works beautifully, and the extra water helps create more friction for that perfect foam!

Alison S. writes: I was curious this morning when I did the dishes to see how much dish soap I actually use (neat). I squirted the amount into a shot glass, then used a syringe to measure it. 

Oh my goodness – I know it’s sad to get excited about dish soap, but check this out!!! The measurement was 1ml in the syringe. So there’s 355ml in the bottle right, so yes you got it, 355 washes!!! 

The bottle of Thieves Dish Soap is $26.25 (AUD), so divide that into 355 washes !!! It’s crazy value, like 7.5c each wash!

We don’t have a dish washer (actually I am the dish washer), so I’m super happy knowing that my dishes are not only washed in healthy dish soap, but it’s also super cost efficient. Happy me, happy garden and happy wallet!!!
