Raw and Dreamy Orange Caramel Slice

1.05.2020

It’s been a challenging time for so many people, yet have you noticed how our greatest periods of personal growth often happen in times like these?

If we’re a “glass half full” person (as I am), we’ll always find the silver lining in any situation. And in those moments when we waiver…..well, at least we have our oils! They’re a wonderful tool for transformation on all levels – physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. So remember to reach for them when you need that helping hand.

Many of my recent bulletins have focussed on how to stay healthy. However, I wanted to provide a light interlude with this delicious treat. If you are a fan of orange treats, you’ll absolutely love this recipe. And if you have children still at home, it provides a fun project for the whole family.

Thank you Amy Joyous and Jen Gallagher for sharing this amazing recipe from your wonderful book “An Aromatic Life”.

Directions for the gorgeous gooey sauce:

Blend all of the ingredients together until it’s nice and creamy. Pour over frozen base. Place back in freezer for about 30 minutes.

Directions for the last layer of yummy orange chocolate:

Melt the coconut oil, then mix in the cacao powder, essential oil and sweetener of choice. Whisk until it’s at a nice velvety creamy texture and pour over the two layers. Place back in the freezer for an hour.

Remove from freezer, cut into slices and enjoy!

Important Tips and Safety when using Essential Oils

15ml of essential oil is approx. 300 drops; 5ml of essential oil is approx. 100 drops.

We recommend Young Living’s essential oils, which are guaranteed pure, unadulterated and therapeutic-grade, and meet the highest world standards. We love that they take such amazing care of the soil, creating healthy plants which produce the very best essential oils. By cooking at ideal temperature, pressure and cooking time, all of mother nature’s constituents are captured into your bottle…the end result being a truly “vibrational” essential oil. To enhance your enjoyment of essential oils:

  1. Always follow the manufacturer’s directions.
  2. If an essential oil irritates your skin, use a good quality carrier oil like coconut, olive or V6 oil over the top.
  3. Citrus essential oils, and blends containing citrus, make the skin photosensitive. Only apply to skin that will be covered from sunlight and UV light for 24 hours.
