When I first started with Young Living in September 1998, our range of single essential oils and specially formulated oil blends was extensive, and it’s continued to grow from there. New essential oils have been added, and new blends have been formulated. 

D. Gary Young (the founder of Young Living) understood first-hand the importance of quality in essential oil production, and what a difference that makes to us when we use that oil on our body.  

But Gary was also an amazing health practitioner. He had trained as a naturopathic physician, with studies in nutrition, homeopathy and reflexology. So he was interested in the whole body, and how wellness starts from the inside out. 

He understood that food is our medicine, and that what we put on and in our body matters. That’s why he expanded the Young Living range to include quality supplements and personal care, dental and cleaning products, all free from harmful ingredients.

As the years have rolled by, I’ve fallen in love with more and more of these oil-infused products, so that if you walk into my home, it looks and smells like a Young Living home. And that’s because I know the ethics and quality standards of Young Living, so I feel safe to pick up any of their products and use it in my life. Today, I want to share with you one microcosm of their range, which is the Seedlings line. Enjoy!!!

I love Young Living’s ethics when it comes to essential oils and health. Having spent many years learning from D. Gary Young (the founder of Young Living), I got to see first hand his care for the people around him, and the Planet. Seedlings Diaper Cream 100%

This product is insane and so hydrating. I’m a hairdresser by trade, I put down the tools 18 months ago but I would always keep a tube in my locker at work.

Having my hands in so many chemicals and shampoos and water kept them moist all the time, and whenever I added the diaper cream, it provided a barrier which then meant I didn’t get skin flareups.

It always worked a treat. And even now with the kids no longer in nappies, we keep a tube in our home. Best product ever!

From Bedtime Bliss to Car Cleaner

I’ve only used 2 products from the Seedlings range and that is the Calm essential oil blend and Baby Wipes.

I absolutely love them both. The Calm blend is my daughter’s favourite to diffuse for bedtime – a nice, calming, subtle aroma. I also love to diffuse it in the loungeroom in the afternoons.

The wipes smell amazing. They left my own hands feeling smooth, so naturally they were perfect for my son’s skin. As he is out of nappies now I don’t use them on him anymore, but I have been known to use them to clean my car interior and seats, because they smell so GOOD! (Please use your own discretion if using them on your car, I have personally not had any problems, but best to spot test first.)

I’ve been using Seedlings Baby Wipes to gently clean under my dog’s eyes, and they’ve been an absolute game-changer.

Since I only need a small amount for each use, I’ve cut some of the wipes into quarters to make them go further. After cutting them, I’ve popped the smaller pieces back into the pack, so they’re ready and convenient whenever I need them.

Glow Up with this Simple Skincare Duo

I’ve been loving the Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood Hydrosol and the Seedlings Baby Oil as my morning and night after-cleansing routine.

I spray a couple of pumps of Hydrosol direct to my face, and follow with two drops of the Seedlings Baby Oil onto my finger tips, then rub into my face, neck and collarbones.

I’ve been doing this for about a month now and have noticed how soft my skin is, and how my skin tone is evening out! 

It’s also proving to be an awesome base for make-up, too! I made up this Luxe Face tester by mixing the Seedlings Baby Oil with the Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood Hydrosol. I no longer remember the proportions, but 50/50 would work.

A drop of Seedlings Baby Oil + Essential Beauty Serum (now called Dry Skin Serum) = a super nourishing face moisturiser! 

My super dry skin absolutely loves this combo a couple of times a week. I also use the Seedlings Baby Oil as a gentle eye makeup remover, and it works like a dream! 

It’s so soothing and effective, taking off even the most stubborn mascara without irritating my sensitive eyes. It’s my go-to for a gentle, all-in-one skincare solution!

I’ve used a few products from the Seedlings range for my little ones, including the Baby Wash, Baby Lotion, and Diaper Cream, but I have to say the Seedlings Calm oil blend is by far my favourite. It has become a staple in our bedtime routine.

My kids always seem to have such a restful night’s sleep whenever I diffuse it in their room – it creates such a calming, peaceful atmosphere. I can’t help but love it too!

My favourite product in the Seedlings range is the Baby Lotion! It has a beautiful texture that is light and easy to massage into the skin, so I keep a tube in my bathroom to put on my hands any time they feel dry. 

When I run classes and I want to demonstrate how we can add a drop of Frankincense oil to our moisturiser base, I always use the Seedlings Baby Lotion as the base for people to experiment with, and

they then use it like a moisturiser on their face. And I love how I can put it on the back of one hand, and see such a difference after just 2 minutes compared to my other hand.

You have to try it! It’s such a great product, is so inexpensive compared to many other lotions and moisturisers, and it smells like soft lavender.
