Clean your face and home on a budget

I love reading tips about how to save money using the Young Living products. Many of them are so concentrated that a little goes a long way.

You might be wondering why I’m telling you how to make your products go further, because then we sell fewer products.

It’s because there are so many truly extraordinary products in the Young Living range that I want you to be able to enjoy as many of them as you can, whilst still being gentle on your hip pocket. And this is how you can do it! Enjoy the read….

1 bottle of Orange Blossom Face Wash makes 46 x 50ml foaming bottles!!!

Kylie B. writes: This is the perfect solution and money saver with teenage girls!!!

Instructions

Cover just the very bottom of the empty 50ml foaming bottle with a teeny amount of Orange Blossom face wash, and fill the rest of the bottle up with water!

I love this as a cleanser because it’s soap free and ph neutral, so it doesn’t strip your skin.

Like Magic!!! How to turn 1 bottle of Thieves Laundry Soap into 3 bottles!

Kristen-John C writes: Thieves Laundry Soap is so concentrated that I can make 3 bottles from 1!!!

You will need 1 full and 2 empty bottles of Thieves Laundry Soap (so make sure you keep your empty bottles).

Pour a third of the laundry liquid from the full bottle into each of the empty bottles. Then to each bottle add:

  • 2 caps of Thieves Household Cleaner
  • 2 tablespoons of Baking Soda (Bicarb of Soda)
  • 10 drops of your favourite Young Living essential oil. I like to use Lavender, Eucalyptus or Purification

Fill the bottle up with warm water and screw the lid back on. Gently tip up and down until everything has mixed well. Enjoy!

One bottle of Thieves Laundry Soap lasts me 3 years with this tip!

Sandra V. writes: Did you know that 1 bottle of Thieves Laundry Liquid is recommended for 64 loads?

It is ultra concentrated, and I make mine go even further by adding water to a third of the bottle of laundry liquid (see recipe above).

By doing this, that one bottle of Thieves Laundry Soap will last me a whole year if I did 11 loads a week (that’s right – 576 loads of washing in total!).

Of course you may need more or less depending on how dirty and grimy your gear is!

Given that on my average week we do 3 loads of washing in a small top loader, it means that:

One bottle of Thieves laundry liquid will last me 3 years, saving both the environment and my hip pocket, and earning me rewards points for free products because I buy it on my Essential Rewards).

Our Favourite Non-toxic Carpet Cleaner!!!

Allend writes: This recipe is so easy!
We just use:

  • 1 cup of Baking soda (Bicarb of Soda)
  • 10 drops of Young Living’s Purification oil

Just mix these two ingredients together in a bowl. Then sprinkle it on the carpet, let it sit for approximately 10mins, and vacuum away!!!

One for the “boys”… Thieves Laundry Soap as a SUPER car wash

Alison S. writes: It’s always fun when your husband comes up with new uses for our Young Living Products. So he walks in the door “Hey Al, check out my Combi….looks like new!”.

And I’m like, “What did you use?” And he says, “The “Thieves stuff” in the laundry.” So I’m like, “Oh, the Thieves Cleaner, Thieves washing liquid, or Thieves hand wash?”

Then Russell proceeds to tell me it was the Thieves Laundry Liquid, and “WOW, the grease just washed straight off, and all that crap from the road just slid off too!!! And there’s no streaks, and the windows look amazing!”

So for all you girls out there that love your Young Living products, when your husband comes in RAVING about his new experiment….it’s kind of a turn on, right? (LOL) So I say, “Honey, you better take me into that Combi and show me that shine!”

Thieves on the fireplace

Watch this amazing video!!!

Alison S. writes: We all love Thieves Cleaner, right? Well there are so many uses for it.

This is a favourite for me each winter to keep the glass clean on my combustion heater.

Simply grab an old Thieves Household Cleaner bottle, and add a spray top to it.

I put one cap of Thieves cleaner and top it up with water, shake, and off you go.

Of course you can then use this to clean the rest of your home knowing that your family and pets are safe from harsh chemicals that impact our wellness. Enjoy!

Natural makeup brush cleaner

Sarah Mollenhauer writes:

I tried this the other day and couldn’t believe how easy it was!

All you need is:

  • 1 teaspoon of Castile soap (I like the “baby unscented” one);
  • 1 drop of Young Living Lemon oil;

Optional: 1 drop of Young Living Melaleuca alternifolia (Tea Tree) oil

If I’m cleaning a single brush, I just put the ingredients in my hand, then I scrub the brush back and forwards in my palm with a little water until it’s clean.

For multiple brushes, use a bowl and follow the same process. You can also add 1 drop of Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) essential oil if you like.

The Castile soap goes a long way with a bit of water. Top up the bowl as needed.

Then simply rinse the brushes with water, and rub them back and forwards on a towel to dry. It’s like having new brushes again!
