Here’s how to fill your inner cup in just 5 days
19.05.2025
6 months ago, part of my home got flooded when my friend’s python “Lilith” was roaming my bathroom and turned a tap on. I was in Perth running classes, and ended up with water damage and mould in portions of my home.
Needless to say it’s been a stressful time, requiring me to completely gut and rebuild the bathroom and part of the kitchen, and dealing with insurance companies and multiple tradespeople.
I’ve felt the stress taking its toll on me, and decided the best solution for my nervous system was a 5 day visit to Fuller Life Bali on my way to Diamond Retreat in Sri Lanka. It was the best choice I could have made for myself.
I arrived at Fuller Life Bali with a cup that was virtually empty, and left with a full cup. I could never have imagined that 5 days of 3 Young Living essential oil-infused treatments a day could have made such a difference.
The secret ingredients were the peaceful surrounds of Fuller Life Bali (which looks out over rice paddies and fields of home-grown fruits and vegetables), the healthy clean food, the hot soaks every evening in the therapy pool, and the opportunity for so much TLC from the amazing staff here as part of the many treatments I received.
I respond really well to the Young Living oils, so the opportunity to have them incorporated into everything here is the icing on the cake for me. If you’ve not been to Fuller Life Bali, be sure to put it on your bucket list!
Fuller Life Bali – a piece of paradise

Inspired by the Nova Vita Centre in Ecuador, Fuller Life Bali offers boutique accommodation in your own private villa, combined with nourishing and alkalising vegetarian food and essential-oil-infused treatments.
There is a sacred energy throughout the centre. The staff are always full of smiles and joy, and they love working here. It’s truly a piece of paradise, at a very reasonable price (with all accommodation, food and treatments included).
Being a not-for-profit organisation, the money we as Westerners pay is treated as a donation. It’s used to fund the centre, so that Balinese people may come and receive treatments at no charge.
Most of all, I love how essential oils and Young Living productsare woven into every activity and experience there.
I was fortunate enough to arrive during one of Bali’s foremost Buddhist festivals, Kuningan. This is a time when the spirits of their ancestors leave for a “better place”, so the locals head to nearby temples to pray for all people and all things.
Frances invited me to join her for one of the ceremonies, prior to the start of my sessions that day. Her friend Teja took us through the ceremony. We were invited to run our hands through incense and to use the smoke to bless our own body, followed by holding 3 different types of petals up to our heart to bless ourselves with love, and to send blessings to all Beings. It was a beautiful experience, which culminated in rice being applied to our forehead and heart as part of the blessing.
Essentials in the Villa

When I arrived at 11pm, I was greeted by the most beautiful Villa with Young Living oils diffusing in the Lustre Diffuser. When I walked into the shower, there was Young Living shower gel and shampoo available for me to use. On the vanity bench was a Happy Hair Spray to use on my hair (see recipe below). And in the kitchen was a beautiful fruit platter for me to graze on, as well as some Thieves Household Cleaner.
When there’s laundry to be washed here, only Thieves Laundry Soap is used, so you can be assured that your clothes will smell beautiful and not have any nasty chemicals on them.
To top it all off, each villa has a tap with filtered water which has been run through a commercial Kangan water filter, and all the pool water has also been filtered.
You may have heard horror stories of people visiting Bali and ending up with Bali Belly. After 2 visits now to Fuller Life Bali, my tummy has remained happy and healthy (a consistent experience with all the guests here).
In case you’d love to make your own Happy Hair Spray, here’s the recipe that Frances uses. It’s her own creation…
Make your own Happy Hair Spray
Into a clean and empty bottle of Bloom Collagen Complete or a 50 to 60ml glass or PET plastic spray bottle, add:
- 1 tsp of Copaiba Vanilla Conditioner
- Half a drop of Mirah Lustrous Hair Oil
- 2 drops of Rosemary oil
- 3 drops of Lavender oil
- 3 drops of Cedarwood oil
- 2 drops of Lemon oil
- 1 drop of Ylang Ylang oil
- Fill up with water and shake
After washing your hair, simply spray this onto your hair and leave it in.

The on-site Restaurant

Once I arrived at Fuller Life Bali, I had no inclination to leave throughout my stay. Everything I needed was here in one place, and 3 meals a day were included in the Donation I paid to stay here.
The restaurant has a beautiful view over the whole centre. Sitting on the table were bottles of Lemon, Peppermint, Citronella and Slique Essence.
The food is all prepared using fruit and vegetables grown here at Fuller Life Bali, with fields fertilised using fermented manure and essential oils. I spoke about this in last week’s Oil Temple Bulletin.

For me, breakfast was coconut water, fresh Rosella tea, some special muesli I’d brought from home with coconut cream and banana, and a platter of sliced dragon fruit.
If you prefer a more substantial breakfast, there are many other fares on offer, including eggs and home-made pancakes.
Most of the dishes are gluten free, so eating is a breeze for me here.
Lunch starts with a shot glass of freshly juiced papaya leaves (a bitter drink which is a cure-all for so many things) and another shot glass of fresh squeezed turmeric (see middle pic above). That is followed by a soup, then a main dish and dessert (see pic below). Dinner is a main and dessert. And of courlthere’s an endless supply of coconut water and herbal teas made from the fresh plant.

Frances joins the guests for lunch at 11.45am every day, and kickstarts the midday celebration with a couple of drops of Believe oil on each person’s crown. She calls this a “Believe Shower”, and it’s how she loves to greet guests and visitors alike.

This leisurely lunch is such precious time to learn from a beautiful hearted woman with so much knowledge about the Young Living products. She doesn’t use anything on her skin or in her mouth which is not either grown on her farm, or part of Young Living’s range.
I received such a gift when I spoke to her, as she shared with me how her eyesight is still fantastic at age 82 (no need for glasses).
Her “secret” for keeping herself and her eyes in peak health is drinking 180ml of NingXia Red each day, and putting a drop of Sacred Frankincense on her palms and holding that over her eyes a couple of times a day.
This is a wonderful tip for me, and one I’ve already begun implementing into my daily regime.
And of course Frances is living her best life, doing what she loves and creating an amazing legacy for Young Living members and guests to enjoy.
Frances’s Rainbow Healing Morning Ritual
At 9.30am each day (after breakfast), there is daily anointing ritual and Chi Kung in the Pavilion for all guests to enjoy. Frances used to run these morning events, but now she has the staff at Fuller Life Bali run it.
As she says, “I won’t be around forever, and I want them to feel confident leading this process”.

So the staff take it in turns each day to lead us through the 12 Rainbow Healing Oils, which form part of a special spiritual healing modality that Frances has developed. They give a brief explanation of each oil and why we’re using it. Then they pass around the oil for us to put a drop on our palm and breath in.
We’re invited to rub our palms together and take 3 quick inhalations in succession (without breathing out in between each one). Then we do a slow exhalation.
These 3 quick inhalations help to pull the effects of the oils deeply up into the limbic region of our brain. It was the most wonderful way to start the day and to invigorate my energy field.

Most of the 12 oils were single oils, but there were a couple of blends in there (Sacred Mountain and Believe oil).
The oils correspond to a deck of cards that Frances has created, called the Rainbow Healing Cards. These are sold from the gift shop at Fuller Life Bali, and to my knowledge they’re not available anywhere else.
It’s worth the trip to Fuller Life Bali just to buy that deck of cards!
The oils used are Believe (as a Believe Shower), Sacred Mountain (to create a sacred space), Lavender (to build inner strength),
Cedarwood (to be true to ourself and fully authentic), Northern Lights Black Spruce (to nurture our inner self), Orange (to activate our Light centre), Sacred Frankincense (to embrace our heart), Lemon (to release what no longer serves us), Jasmine (to support integration), Ylang Ylang (to build teamwork and collaboration), and Sacred Sandalwood (for inner expansion).
We take a minute or two to inhale each oil, before moving to the next oil.
It is such a lovely way to start each day, and to hear the joy in the staff who run the Rainbow Healing anointing.
One of the staff there shared how his day always flows so beautifully after he does this. It never used to be that way for him before he started doing this anointing ritual on a daily basis. He’s seen how much it’s increased his happiness quotient, so it’s a non-negotiable way that he starts every day.
From there, we’d follow along with a video of Frances leading us through her own special “Rainbow Chi Kung”, designed to invigorate the body and its meridians, bringing the energy of light into our cells, and providing a powerful protective field around our body where only good can reside.

As we finish our morning Chi Kung, we’re invited to enjoy a sachet of NingXia Red juice as we make our way to our various sessions for the day.
