Bringing Out the Younger You!

Trish came to me for a facial back in 2011. We were chatting, and I asked her the ages of her children. She mentioned that her eldest daughter was 38, and I couldn’t believe it! She didn’t look anywhere near old enough to have a 38 year old daughter, and it turned out she was 56 years young.

I’d only just finished my Diploma in Holistic Beauty Therapy and was using a different brand of essential oils and skin care. I’d always really looked after my skin, giving myself a facial once a week. So when I saw Trish at her age with this beautiful skin, despite only receiving a facial once every 1 to 2 years, I wanted to know what she was doing.

I told her, “You look incredible, I need to know!” She told me she was using the Boswellia Wrinkle Cream, Sandalwood Moisturiser and Longevity Capsules, and I was asking her, “What is that? Can you tell me about it?”

And that’s how I came to hear about Young Living. I’ve been in love with their products ever since.

Before I came across Young Living I was using Thalgo Skin care products, and would have a facial once a year at one of their salons.

I was feeling young inside, but was looking in the mirror and noticing the aging process, and didn’t feel that the products were making a difference. I really wanted to look healthy and youthful – the way I felt on the inside!!!

In 2008 I came across Young Living, and swapped out my previous skin care products for Young Living.

My regime was simple – I was using the Sandalwood Moisuriser during the day, the Boswellia Wrinkle Cream at night, and I used the Rosewater Spritz as a toner (see recipe below).

I love spending time at the beach, so I would always add a drop of Frankincense to the Sandalwood moisture cream after a day in the sun, this was a game changer!

I also started taking 2 Longevity Softgels each day after hearing Artemis speak of the benefits of this amazing product. “Aging gracefully” I like to call it!

I was really excited to see how my skin was responding to these products, and had quite a few people noticing how well I looked, and telling me that my skin was amazing!!!

Its elasticity was great and I wondered if that was thanks to the Longevity softgels and how purifying they are to the body and skin. (eg. this pic on the right is of me at age 64).

I met Liz Nixon in 2011. At that time I had been using Young Living for 3 years and really took the benefits for granted. It was lovely of her to tell me how great my skin was looking, as every other time I’d had a facial with anyone, I was always told I had problem areas that needed attention and was offered expensive products to fix it.

Liz and I work closely together these days helping others discover the benefits of using Chemical Free personal care and cleaning products.

Rosewater Spritz

Here’s what you’ll need:

• 8 drops of Young Living Rose oil
• 120 ml of distilled water
• A 120 ml glass or PET plastic spray bottle.

Then shake and spray!

About 10 years ago I was given Rose Essential Oil in a Young Living Essential Rewards Promotion. It was so precious I didn’t want to waste it, so it sat there for a year doing nothing….

I decided that was a waste, so I made Rose water, about 8 drops to a 120 ml spray bottle of distilled water ~ I know, that was a lot of drops!!

When the bottle became half full I topped it up with more water and have done so ever since….

Last month when I topped up the spray bottle, I noticed it had lost some of its fragrance, which was fair I thought, 9 years is a long time after all…. But 4 days later it was back beautiful as ever! Those 8 drops are still working to this day!!!

I absolutely love my Rose EO ♥ (I know the bottle looks so sad, but it’s a lovely reminder to me).

Boswellia Wrinkle Cream

This beautiful moisturizer contains Frankincense, Sandalwood, Myrrh, Ylang Ylang and Geranium oils. These oils tone, refine and moisturize the skin, at the same time minimising shine, relaxing facial tension and reducing the effects of sun damage. It’s the perfect moisturizer for brightening the appearance of maturing skin. And no wonder!

It contains such wonderful goodies as wolfberry seed oil and aloe vera, and natural plant extracts from: grape seed, sandalwood, calendula, roman chamomile, rose petals, orange flower, St. John’s wort, Kelp and Ginkgo biloba….not to mention shea butter and panthenol.

It also contains Sodium Hyaluronate – a molecule which holds 1,000 times its weight in water, making it an extremely effective moisturiser and hydrator for our skin. As the skin is replenished with hydration, it fills out and helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. And this is just one of many great ingredients in this product.

Another of its highly prized ingredients is Phellodendron amurense bark extract, which comes from the Amur Cork Tree….make sure you google this to find out more about what it does!

Sandalwood Moisture Cream

This ultra-hydrating moisturizer is infused with essential oils from Coriander, Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood, Lavender, Bergamot (Furocoumarin-free so it’s not photosensitizing to the skin), as well as Myrrh, Rosemary, Ylang Ylang and Geranium.

It shares many of the same ingredients as the Boswellia Wrinkle Cream, with the enriching effects of wolfberry seed oil, shea butter, and natural plant extracts from: grapeseed, calendula, roman chamomile, rose petals, orange flower, St. John’s wort, Phellodendron amurense bark extract, and Ginkgo biloba….not to mention sandalwood extract, rosehip seed oil, Vitamin A, aloe vera juice and Pichia anomala extract (to name just a few of its many ingredients!).
